Victor Davis Hanson is the Martin and Illie Anderson Senior Fellow in classics and military history at the Hoover Institution, Stanford University and professor emeritus of Greek at the California State University, Fresno. He is a syndicated columnist for Tribune Media Services, writes a weekly column for National Review, and has published over twenty books on agrarian, military, and cultural history, including The Other Greeks, Carnage and Culture, Ripples of Battle and The Savior Generals. Hanson has received the National Humanities Medal, a National Endowment for the Humanities fellowship, the Bradley Prize, the Buckley Prize, the Claremont Leadership Award, and the Eric Breindel Award for opinion journalism.
