Adam Garfinkle is a non-resident Distinguished Fellow at the S. Rajaratnam School of International Studies at the Nanyang Technological University in Singapore. He was founding editor of The American Interest, editor of The National Interest, and principal speechwriter to the US Secretary of State while attached to the Policy Planning Staff of the State Department. He was also a chief writer of the Hart-Rudman Commission reports and has taught at several institutions of higher education including Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies.
