Michael Engel is Assistant Professor of Chemical and Biological Engineering at Friedrich–Alexander University Erlangen–Nuremberg. He was trained as a mathematical physicist and now works in soft condensed matter and nanoscience. His research connects fundamental scientific theory and engineering applications, typically with the help of computer simulations.
