Subir Sarkar

Subir Sarkar is Emeritus Professor at the Rudolf Peierls Centre for Theoretical Physics, University of Oxford. He obtained his PhD from the Tata Institute of Fundamental Research, where he was also a staff member. Before joining Oxford, he held visiting positions at CERN and the Rutherford Appleton Laboratory, and worked in science education for the Eklavya Foundation in India. In 2017 he was awarded the IUPAP-TIFR Homi Bhabha Medal.
